The Family Connection Center

The Family Connection Center (TFCC) provides supervised parenting time between children and their non-custodial parents in a safe, neutral environment with trained observers.  This program allows children to maintain or re-establish relationships with their non-custodial parent.

TFCC facilitates supervised visits as well as supervised exchanges that offer a safe, neutral site for the exchange of children between parents at the beginning and end of parenting times.  Program staff assists families by documenting arrival and drop-off times, monitoring behavior of the parties, and maintaining a no-contact provision between parents.

We are committed to providing a comfortable and safe setting, with trained staff who will work to get to know you and the unique needs of your family.

Comfortable & Safe Setting

We have designed the Center to provide a safe setting for children and their parents. This includes the way the site is set up and the policies and procedures we have developed. We meet with each parent for an intake, to discuss the unique needs of the family for safety and comfort.

Our staff are carefully selected for their experience in working with families, and for their professional and caring attitudes. Staff are trained to observe with awareness of family dynamics to allow as much interaction between parents and children as possible. Staff will check in regularly with parents and children before and after visits to address issues that may surface as a result of the visits. This check-in provides staff with information to continuously improve the comfort and success of the visits.

Affordable Services

Our services for families in supervised parenting time and safe exchanges are offered on a sliding fee scale based on the household income.

Getting Started

The first step is to call TFCC to set up an intake appointment. Each parent needs to set up their own intake, which will take approximately an hour and a half. Once intakes are completed and TFCC confirms that we are able to  accommodate a family’s needs, we will schedule an orientation session for the children, and for the first visit. We will make every effort to accommodate the scheduling needs of each family.
